Casio
Computer Company Ltd is a multinational electrical manufacturer, the
products include cameras, calculators, mobile phones, musical instrument
and watches.
The company is headquartered in Tokyo Japan and was founded in 1946, in
1957 Casio released the worlds very first entirely electrically powered
compact calculator.
Casio's founder Tadao Kashio was an engineering specializing in
fabrication technology, his first major product was the yubiwa pipe, a
finger ring that would hold a cigarette. This allowed you to smoke the cigarette to the nub and also the wearer's hands to be left free.
Casio G-Shock
G-Shock is a brand of watches designed by Casio, the name comes from
the watches resistance to shocks such as hard knocks and strong
vibrations. They are designed mainly for sports and outdoor activity usage. Nearly all G-Shock watches feature countdown timer, stop watch, water resistance and a light.
The first G-Shock was made in 1983 by a designer working for Casio called Kikuo Ibe.
The watch was designed around a triple 10 concept, featuring a 10 year
battery life, being able to survive a 10 meter fall onto a hard surface
and is water resistant to 10 bar. 200 prototypes were tested by dropping them from three story windows or rooftops.
The watches are made shock resistant by their 10 layers protecting the

protecting the stainless steel case the hardened glass and the stainless
steel case back, all these aspects make the watch durable and strong.
Since 1983 the line of watches has expanded considerably, in the latest
models they feature atomic clock synchronisation and tough solar
functionality. The cockpit series of the G-Shock collection is the official timekeeper for Nismo racing. Many of the newer G-Shocks feature metal or (steel or titanium) banding and elaborate analogue timekeeping.
Twice a year Sprint/Summer and Fall/Winter the basic G-Shock models are
updated and new limited models are released more frequently throughout
the year.
Casio Edifice
Edifice is another brand of chronograph watches designed by Casio. These watches range from more basic chronograph watches to more advanced models that feature computerized movements. Many of the Edifice watches feature tough solar, this is Casio's name for light chargeable batteries.
